Sonnet 102
We're more in tune now, though more weak in seeming,
Go on date nights (less thigh on show appears),
That love is merchandised whose rich esteeming
Our valentine tongues doth publish everywhere
Like love was new and still but in the Spring.
So we unfriended former Facebook lays
When monogamist sex still made us sing -
But will one do for longer oldie days?
Our coupling's not improvisational now,
(It's once a week when old himms hush the night)
Songs of the 80's burden every bough:
Overplayed Our Tunes lose their deare delight.
We find it works most times to hold our tongue,
Just humming the tune to forget the song.
